Jr. Sabres Defenseman Nick DeSimone Commits to Union

Nick DeSimone's brother Phil, a UNH alum, is playing in Europe this winter after two seasons in the AHL and ECHL.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres defenseman Nick DeSimone has committed to playing his college hockey for Rick Bennett at Union College. The brother of former New Hampshire forward Phil, Nick is in his first season playing in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL). The East Amherst, NY native has eight goals and 19 assists in 23 games played to lead all league defensemen in scoring. DeSimone will head to Schenectady in the fall to play for the Dutchmen.
