Red Gendron has his first recruit from the state of Maine. Berwick Academy forward Lucas Michaud has committed to the University of Maine for the fall of 2015. As a sophomore Michaud put up 14 goals and 10 assists for the Bulldogs.

The '97 right-shot winger impressed observers at the Beantown Classics this summer and fall. The South Portland, Maine native has played two seasons at Berwick Academy for coach Andy Lathrop, a former player and coach at New England College. He is also playing for the Portland Jr. Pirates U18 team in the newly formed USPHL.

Michaud was drafted in the seventh round of the 2013 QMJHL Draft by the Val-d'Or Foreurs, but is committed to taking the NCAA route.
