Northfield Mount Hermon power forward Benjamin Freeman has committed to first year head coach Mike Cavanaugh at the University of Connecticut. The Falmouth, Maine native is six-feet-four and has a physical presence on the ice. He tallied 12 goals and 8 assists last season in prep school action. The Gatineau Olympiques picked up Freeman in the 12th round of the 2013 QMJHL Draft.
Cavanaugh and his staff have picked up two key recruits in recent weeks in Rivers School forward Miles Gendron and Merritt Centennials (BCHL) center Jeff Wight.
