After two game-winning goals this weekend, it shouldn't be a surprise that Travis Boyd has picked up one more honor.

Boyd, a Minnesota forward, was named the Big Ten's First Star for the week ending October 27. The senior from Hopkins, MN had three goals in a two-game sweep over Bemidji State. That includes his first career multi-goal game in Friday's 5-2 win when Boyd scored a shorthanded and power play goal; becoming the first Gopher since 2010 to do so.

Boyd (Washington Capitals) was joined by Michigan freshman forward Dylan Larkin and Penn State junior goaltender Matthew Skoff in the weekly Big Ten Three Stars honor.

Larkin was named this week's Second Star after a six point (1G-5A) weekend in Massachusetts. The 2014 Detroit Red Wings first round pick had four points in Michigan's 8-4 win over UMass-Lowell. He assisted on both goals in the Wolverines' 3-2 loss to Boston University the next night.

Skoff, named the Third Star for the second time this season,  only gave up a goal apiece in Penn State's two-game sweep over Holy Cross. The McKees Rock, PA native stopped 29 of 30 shots Friday and 28 Saturday as the Nittany Lions won 7-1.
