Big Ten Releases Preseason Coaches Poll

Wisconsin leads the way in the first ever coaches poll.

Today is the first ever Big Ten media day in St.  Paul, and this morning, the league released their first ever preseason coaches poll. Wisconsin was tabbed as the favorite to win the inaugural league title.

Here's how the coaches see the league shaking out:

1. Wisconsin

2. Minnesota

3. Michigan

T-4. Michigan State

T-4. Ohio State

6. Penn State

The league also announced 13 "Players to Watch" this year:

Mac Bennett, D, Michigan

Ryan Dzingel, F, Ohio State

Alex Guptill, F, Michigan

Max McCormick, F, Ohio State

Matt Berry, F, Michigan State

Nic Kerdiles, F, Wisconsin

Jake Hildebrand, G, Michigan State

Jake McCabe, D, Wisconsin

Kyle Rau, F, Minnesota*

Michael Mersch, F, Wisconsin

Mike Reilly, D, Minnesota

Mark Zengerle, F, Wisconsin

Adam Wilcox, G, Minnesota

Minnesota's Kyle Rau was the only one of the 13 to be a unanimous selection.
