Army hockey head coach Brian Riley has hired Chris McKelvie as his team's new assistant coach, replacing Eric Lang, who left to take the head coaching gig at American International College (AIC).

McKelvie is the twin brother of current assistant coach, Zach McKelvie, a West Point alum who has been on Riley's staff the past two seasons. Chris McKelvie is a Bemidji State alum, who is currently playing for the Albany Devils, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.

Chris McKelvie has worn a letter on his jersey with the Devils each of the past three seasons. He played four years at Bemidji State, from 2006-2010. He was a junior when the Beavers made it to the 2009 Frozen Four, losing to Miami in the national semifinals.
