Bentley University head coach Ryan Soderquist has hired Steve Silverthorn as the hockey program's newest assistant coach.

Silverthorn is a 2005 graduate of Colgate University where he was a star goaltender for the Raiders. The Owen Sound, Ontario native played in the Dallas Stars system with the AHL's Texas Stars and ECHL's Idaho Steelheads.

Silverthorn had been a volunteer goaltending consultant for Brown the past two seasons. He replaces Chris Dyment, whose tenure at Bentley lasted just over a month. He left to become the Director of Hockey Operations at his alma mater, Boston University.
