ROCHESTER, NY -- Defenseman Stephen Farrell picked a good time to find his scoring touch. The junior from Ottawa, Ontario scored his first goal of the season 13:30 into the second overtime period to lift Canisius past Mercyhurst, 5-4, in the first Atlantic Hockey Association semifinal from Blue Cross Arena.

Canisius will have a chance to defend its Atlantic Hockey Association Tournament championship on Saturday night against the winner of Friday's second semifinal between Robert Morris and Niagara.
