West Point, NY --- The Army hockey team is hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins on its West Point, NY campus this weekend. The Black Knights, coached by Brian Riley, were picked to finish 10th in the Atlantic Hockey Association Preseason Coaches Poll released last week.

It is a great opportunity for the hockey players at Army, but also a terrific chance for the Penguins to learn about the cadets and all they must go through. The Penguins open up the NHL regular season with an October 3 date against the New Jersey Devils at home at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh.

Earlier in the month the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks practiced and stayed at Notre Dame for a few days. They skated on the Compton Family Arena and met with current members of the Notre Dame hockey team.
