USA Hockey announced the selection of 27 players for their Residency Program in preparation for the 2022 Winter Olympics. The group will commence in Blaine, Minnesota in October as they train to defend their gold medal. In addition, 25 of the 27 players selected will also participate in the upcoming 2021 Women’s World Championships, originally scheduled for May, but postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Here is the full roster of players selected.

The roster is a nice mix of the old guard and the new generation. 14 players return from the 2018 gold medalists, plus Megan Bozek and Alex Carpenter, who played in the 2014 Olympics but not in 2018. Meanwhile 11 players will seek to make their Olympic debut. Seven current collegians, plus Caroline Harvey, whose collegiate debut will likely now be postponed a year, were selected to the roster.

The final roster of 23 players that will play in Beijing will be announced in late December or early January ahead of the February games.
