Earlier today, we mentioned the possibility of Clarkson sneaking into the NCAA Tournament with an at-large bid as one of the many teams competing for the affections of the tournament selection committee on the tournament bubble.
A few hours and one 23-word press release later, that dream has ended, as the Golden Knights announced that they have concluded their hockey season.
Clarkson finishes the year with an 11-7-4 record. They won their final two games of the season against Colgate before having a four-game series with St. Lawrence cancelled due to a Covid pause in St. Lawrence’s program.
ECAC top seed Quinnipiac will now receive a bye to the conference championship game, where they will face the winner of St. Lawrence and Colgate.
