Tyler Moy Signs with Nashville Predators

Matt Dewkett

Harvard outgoing senior forward Tyler Moy has signed a two-year entry level contract with the Nashville Predators. Nashville selected Moy in the sixth round, 175th overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Moy led the Crimson in scoring this past season with a 22-23-45 scoring line in 36 games, nearly matching the 56 points he put up in his first three seasons combined. He also helped lead Harvard to ECAC regular season and playoff titles, the school’s first Beanpot title since 1993, and their first trip to the Frozen Four since 1994.

A native of the San Diego area, Moy plays the game with tremendous speed and tenacity. His willingness to battle in tough areas of the ice made him an effective three-zone player, and resulted in more offense this past season. Moy projects as a third or fourth line winger that brings good energy at the NHL level.

His two-year contract is expected to begin next season.
