NHL Central Scouting has released their mid-term rankings for the 2017 NHL Draft.

Despite missing a significant chunk of time for injury, Brandon(WHL) forward Nolan Patrick remains the top prospect in North America.

The top player with NCAA ties is Minnesota commit and Eden Prairie High School forward Casey Mittelstadt at fifth overall among North American skaters. Also in the top 10 among NA skaters is Boston College commit Eeli Tolvanen and UMass commit Cale Makar, who has made a huge move up draft ranking lists in the past month after a great performance at the World Jr. A Challenge.

Other NCAA prospects in the top 30 include BU commit Shane Bowers at 13, St. Cloud State’s Ryan Poehling at 14, and North Dakota commit Grant Mismash at 30.

Muskegon(USHL) goalie and Quinnipiac commit Keith Petruzelli is the top ranked North American goalie, while BU’s Jake Oettinger and Northeastern commit Cayden Primeau rank third and fourth respectively. USHL goalie Maxim Zhukov rounds out the top five, though he is unlikely to play college hockey.
