Joey Keane to Sign with Barrie of OHL

joey keane

1999-born defenseman and former Miami commit Joey Keane has left the Dubuque Fighting Saints to sign with Barrie of the Ontario Hockey League, ending his NCAA eligibility.

Keane committed to Miami two years ago as 15-year-old, while playing for Chicago Mission. Keane signed a tender to play for the Fighting Saints, and had a successful rookie season. He played in 55 games and posted a 2-9-11 scoring line with a +12 +/-

Keane is a strong, defensive-minded defenseman that should be a solid addition to the Colts line-up. Replacing Keane on the Dubuque roster will be 2000-born defenseman and Michigan recruit Jacob Semik.
