Boston — Dalen Hedges will not return to the Northeastern University hockey team for the 2016-17 season, it was confirmed on Thursday.
Hedges was a mainstay in the Huskies’ lineup as a freshman and sophomore, compiling 17 goals and 39 assists in 71 games through two seasons. His junior campaign was cut short due to a lower body injury. He played in just nine games with three assists.
The Ottawa, Ontario native plans to finish his degree, but it is believed his playing days are over.
