One week after being critically injured in an on-ice fall during warm-ups of a WCHA Final Five semifinal game, official Butch Mousseaux passed away.
It’s with heavy hearts and much sadness to pass along the news of @WCHA_MHockey referee Butch Mousseaux’s passing today. He will be missed.

Mousseaux was a respected referee, but more importantly, a colorful, much-beloved personality, whose presence will be extremely missed in the world of college hockey. The outpouring of support and sharing of memories this past week from players, coaches, and anyone else that came into contact with him shows just how big of a loss this is for the college hockey community.
