Boston College was picked to win Hockey East by the league's media in the annual Hockey East Writers and Broadcasters Association Poll, released late Saturday night.
Defending regular season and tournament champion Boston University was slotted in the second position. UMass Lowell, winners of two of the last three league championships, was third. Defending NCAA Champion Providence College finished in fourth.
The media also voted on the All-Hockey East Preseason Team. The Eagles had the most representatives on the squad with three. Forward Alex Tuch, defenseman Ian McCoshen and goaltender Thatcher Demko were picked to the team. BU placed two on the team - forward Danny O'Regan and defenseman Matt Grzelcyk. New Hampshire forward Tyler Kelleher and Northeastern forward Kevin Roy also made the team.
