North Dakota's Drake Caggiula Returning for Senior Season

Matt Dewkett

North Dakota junior forward Drake Caggiula put himself on the radar of the NHL as a potential free agent signing after leading North Dakota in scoring this past season with 18 goals and 18 assists for 36. But rather than sign with an NHL team, Caggiula has opted to return to Grand Forks for his final year of eligibility, as first reported by Brad Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald.

We ranked Caggiula as the 95th-best NHL prospect in the NCAA this past season, citing his tenacious, physical play and good scoring touch as his primary assets.
