Boston University wins 2015 Beanpot

BOSTON -- For the first time since 2009 Boston University is the Beanpot Tournament champions. Matt Grzelcyk scored his second goal of the game 51 seconds into overtime on the power play.

Harvard senior goaltender Steve Michalek won the Eberly Trophy, given annually to the goaltender with the best save percentage throughout the Beanpot.

The 2015 Beanpot MVP was awarded to Grzelcyk, a Charlestown, Mass. native, whose dad works at the TD Garden. Grzelcyk, BU's junior captain, is a 2012 NHL Draft pick of the hometown Boston Bruins.
