Hockey Canada made their final cuts tonight following this morning's exhibition game against the Czech Republic, and Boston University defenseman Brandon Hickey has made the final roster.

Hickey becomes the first NCAA player to make the Team Canada roster since Jaden Schwartz suited up for the Canadians in the 2012 tournament. Providence defenseman Jake Walman was invited to the team's preliminary camp, but was unable to participate due to a shoulder injury.
Hickey has been a reliable defensive presence all season for the Terriers, and has contributed 5-2-7 on the offensive end in 16 games this season.
The Terriers have no games scheduled until January 7th, two days after the gold medal game of the tournament, when they play at Harvard
