NHL Central Scouting released an updated Players to Watch list on Monday. There weren't many seismic shifts since the last list was released, but with the season well under way for everyone, a number of new names were added to the list.
A total of 34 players were listed as 'A' prospects, indicating a potential first round selection. 62 players earned a 'B' rating indicating a potential 2nd/3rd round pick, and 298 players earned a 'C' ranking indicating a potential late round draft pick, with two others listed as 'Limited Viewing'
Players with NCAA ties to receive an 'A' rating included Boston University's Charlie McAvoy and Wisconsin's Luke Kunin, as well as North Dakota commit Tyson Jost, Minnesota Duluth commit Riley Tufte, and Boston University commits Dante Fabbro, Kieffer Bellows, Clayton Keller, and Chad Krys.
'B' prospects with NCAA ties were: St. Cloud State commit Dennis Cholowski, Wisconsin commits Max Zimmer and Trent Frederic, Miami commit Willie Knierim, Notre Dame commits Andrew Peeke and Michael Graham, Denver commit Michael Boyle, Minnesota Duluth commit Joey Anderson, Connecticut's Tage Thompson, Minnesota commits Ryan Lindgren and Sam Rossini, Michigan commit Griffin Luce, and North Dakota commit Mitchell Mattson.
