Former University of Maine hockey player Ryan Lomberg has officially announced his intention to join the Miami University program next fall. The Richmond Hills, Ont. native, who has been playing with the Youngstown Phantoms in the USHL this season, will be a junior with two years of eligibility left.

Lomberg left the Black Bear program during the offseason after being suspended for an off-campus altercation. A gritty forward who plays with an edge, Lomberg has 16 goals and nine assists in 27 games with the Phantoms. He had 18 goals and 14 assists in 66 total games with Maine.
