NHL Central Scouting released their mid-term rankings for this summer's NHL Draft. This is a significant one because it is the first time the scouting service puts out an actual list, albeit separating North American and European players.
There was no surprise as OHL superstar Connor McDavid topped the list of North American skaters, followed by Boston University's Jack Eichel at #2, and Boston College's Noah Hanifin at #3.
Other notable players to be ranked in the top 30 among North American skaters were Michigan commit Kyle Connor at 14th, Boston U commit Jordan Greenway at 22nd, Boston College commit Colin White at 27th, uncommitted prospect Brock Boeser at 28th, and Minnesota commit Tommy Novak at 29th.
North Dakota commit Matej Tomek was the highest-rated future NCAA goalie, coming in at 4th on the list for North American goalie, followed by Wisconsin commit Luke Opilka at 5th.
