Miles Wood accelerates to arrive at BC this fall

BC is getting a huge boost to its incoming class.

Matt Dewkett

Boston College will be welcoming the services of New Jersey Devils prospect Miles Wood a year early, according to multiple sources. The '95 from Buffalo, NY who has spent the past two seasons at Nobles will accelerate and join the Eagles this fall.

A 2013 NHL Draft choice of the New Jersey Devils, Wood is a huge powerful forward who can have an immediate impact on the college game. Against prep competition this past winter, he looked like a man amongst boys on the ice.

Wood is the son of former NHLer Randy Wood. He will join an already star-studded incoming class that includes 2014 NHL first rounders in Alex Tuch and Sonny Milano. Wood had initially committed to Brown University before opening up his recruitment. He ultimately chose the Eagles over cross-town rival Boston University.
