Transportation
The Wells Fargo Center is about four miles from Downtown Philadelphia. It is home of the Philadelphia Flyers and located near Lincoln Financial Field, home of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles and Citizens Bank Park, home of Major League Baseball's Philadelphia Phillies.
SEPTA, The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, is the public transit system in Philadelphia. Union beat writer Ken Schott of the Schenectady Daily Gazette breaks it all down on his terrific blog, but the union workers are threatening a strike, which could pose a problem for people trying to use public transit to get to and from the games.
Here is a link to the SEPTA Website, assuming the organization's union workers do not strike.
Other Events
The Philadelphia Phillies are home at Citizens Bank Park all week, including Monday through Thursday against the Milwaukee Brewers and Friday through Sunday versus the Florida Marlins. A lot of fans took in a game at the beautiful ballpark in Pittsburgh last April and really enjoyed themselves.
Weather
According to Accuweather, the forecast in Philadelphia calls for high temperatures in the mid-50s to mid-60s from Wednesday until Sunday. Lows should be in the mid-40s and an abundance of sunshine is predicted. Wednesday will be the worst day with highs only reaching the mid-50s with a strong wind.
Enjoy the Frozen Four!
