2014 Frozen Four: Fifth Time's a Charm for Union's Mike Vecchione

Matt Dewkett

Union has been doing an incredible job winning battles in front of the Minnesota on their way to jumping out to a 4-2 late first period lead against Minnesota in the national title game.

There's no better example of that than Union's gritty third goal in which, after multiple whacks at the puck, and a nice save by Minnesota forward Kyle Rau, Union's Mike Vecchione finally put away a rebound to give Union a 3-2 lead on the Gophers.
