NCAA Hockey Tournament Photo Gallery: Providence 4, Quinnipiac 0

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. -- Providence College won an NCAA Tournament game for the first time since 1999 on Friday afternoon at the Webster Bank Arena. The Friars jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead and scored three more times in the second period for a 4-0 win over Quinnipiac.

Jon Gillies stopped all 37 shots he faced, and Mark Jankowski, Anthony Florentino, Trevor Mingoia and Shane Luke scored goals for Nate Leaman's Friars.

Providence will face No. 1 Union in the 2014 NCAA East Regional Final on Saturday at 3 p.m. on ESPNU.
