LAKE PLACID, NY -- Sophomore sensation Tyson Spink's goal 58 seconds into double overtime propelled Colgate University past Quinnipiac, 3-2, in the second semifinal at the 2014 ECAC Hockey Championship at the 1980 Rink at Herb Brooks Arena.
Spink assisted on Kyle Baun's extra-attacker goal with 56 seconds left in regulation to force overtime. Don Vaughan's Raiders will meet Union in the ECAC Hockey championship game at 7 p.m. Saturday. The Dutchmen are looking for their third consecutive Whitelaw Cup.
