Providence defeated Maine 4-2 Saturday to sweep the Black Bears and head to Boston for the Hockey East Tournament. Nick Saracino had two goals, Jon Gillies made 36 saves and...oh my God is that a baby?
Friars head coach Nate Leaman spoke after the game holding a baby in what's the cutest post-game press conference in memory. Maybe he gave credit to Maine for scoring the first goal in a hard fought contest. Maybe he waged war with any team stupid enough to step foot inside the Garden. I don't know. I was transfixed by the fact he's holding an ADORABLE BABY.
You decide by watching the above video. At the very least, Leaman, who missed a game in January for the birth of his third child, made the awkward art of a press conference anything but. That's what happens when you spend 2 minutes holding a baby on the dais.
