Like the Hobey Baker award, candidates are judged not only by on-ice criteria, but also off-ice criteria as well. Also like the Hobey, the award will be handed out on the Friday of this year's Frozen Four in Philadelphia. The award is voted on by a combination of coaches, scouts, and members of the media.
