The Hockey East schedule is coming to a close, but aside from the top spot, there's still plenty left to decide for the rest of the pack. On Saturday night, Northeastern will host Maine for a second straight game at Matthews Arena after the teams played to a 4-4 tie on Friday. In that game, there were six lead changes, and Northeastern scored with only 1:11 to go to force overtime with the goalie pulled.
With the teams matching up again on Saturday, Maine clings to a slim one-point lead over the Huskies, with only three conference games remaining for each squad. The game could also have PairWise implications, with Northeastern currently in 10th in the country, while Maine is tied for 13th. Northeastern is still without defensemen Josh Manson and Matt Benning, who were both injured last weekend at UMass, and were held out of Friday night's game.
