Northeastern evened the score with a late goal in the second period to send the Beanpot final into the third period knotted at one goal apiece. Kevin Roy picked off a pass deep in the BC zone and cut towards the goal. His initial shot was saved.

Beanpot Consolation Game: Harvard 6, BU 2
Harvard University won the consolation game of the 62nd annual Beanpot with a 6-2 victory over Boston University on Monday afternoon at the TD Garden. Kyle Criscuolo had a goal and two assists and Luke Esposito had two tallies and a helper.

Beanpot: BC extends lead over BU after two periods
Johnny Gaudreau extended his point streak to 22 games with a second period assist on a snipe by Kevin Hayes who scored his 20th goal of the season. Center Bill Arnold picked up the primary assist with Gaudreau getting the secondary on the goal.

There are 43 Beanpot alums who have skated in the NHL this season. Boston College has 23 alums in the NHL this season while Boston University is second most with 14. Harvard has four and Northeastern has two.

Beanpot schedule and television information
The 62nd annual Beanpot Tournament starts Monday, and as always there is quite a hubbub surrounding the event. Northeastern and Harvard meet in the first semifinal at 5 p.m. to be followed by Boston University and Boston College.
