Hayes Hits the Mark: Kevin Hayes continued his torrid '13-'14 season, pumping in his 21st goal of the season. Hayes drove to the net from in between the dots and fired a one-timer through the legs of Clay Witt. In his first three seasons for the Eagles, Hayes scored a combined 17 goals.
Gaudreau Still Streaking: For the 24th consecutive game, Johnny Gaudreau has recorded a point. The standout junior has 49 points in that span (21-28=49). He leads the nation in scoring with 57 points, nine ahead of his teammate Hayes.
Shots, Shots, Shots: After allowing 48 shots on goal to UMass in a 3-0 loss on Friday, Northeastern surrendered 11 shots to BC in the opening period of the Beanpot championship. Clay Witt, who leads Hockey East in just about every goaltending statistic, was solid for Northeastern in net, making 10 saves.
