The preliminary round of the 2015 World Juniors is now in the books. The eight advancing teams will have New Year's Day off tomorrow, before playing the quarterfinal round on January 2nd.

That sets up the following match-ups on January 2nd. All games can be seen on NHL Network. Team USA's quarterfinal game can be streamed on NHL.com.
1pm: United States vs. Russia (Montreal)
3pm: Sweden vs. Finland (Toronto)
5pm: Czech Republic vs. Slovakia (Montreal)
8pm: Canada vs. Denmark (Toronto)
The winner of US/RUS meets the winner of SWE/FIN in the semifinal, while the winner of CZE/SVK meets the winner of CAN/DEN in the other semifinal. Semifinals take place on January 4th. Both semifinals, as well as the medal round will take place in Toronto.
Switzerland will play a best-of-three series against Germany on Friday, Saturday, and Monday if necessary. The loser of that series will be relegated down to Division I, with Belarus gaining promotion to next year's tournament in Finland.
