Fresh off a 6-0 pasting of Germany in which the U.S. out shot the Germans 53-13, the Americans are back at it in preliminary round play at the 2015 World Junior Championship with a 4 p.m. ET game Monday afternoon against Slovakia.
Thatcher Demko will be back between the pipes for USA Hockey after getting the night off Sunday. Brandon Halverson was rarely tested, but recorded the shutout for the red, white and blue. Michigan freshman Dylan Larkin had two goals and an assist and was named the Player of the Game for the U.S. squad. Boston University freshman Jack Eichel scored an amazing wraparound goal in the third period for his first tally of the tournament.
