Fresh off a 12-1 demolishing of St. Thomas in an exhibition contest, Boston University's Ahti Oksanen and Jack Eichel picked up two of the three Hockey East weekly awards.

Oksanen, a converted defenseman playing up on the first line, earned the Hockey East Player of the Week after scoring four of the Terriers' 12 goals. All four were assisted by Eichel, the much-hyped freshman from North Chelmsford, Mass. who picked up the Hockey East Rookie of the Week.

Eichel also assisted on fellow freshman Johnathan MacLeod's power play goal. All five of Eichel's assists were of the primary variety. The US-NTDP product is expected to battle with Erie Otters forward Connor MacDavid for the top selection in the 2015 NHL Draft.

UMass Lowell senior defenseman Zack Kamrass was named the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week after registering a goal and two assists in the River Hawks' 7-3 win over St. Thomas on Sunday.
