Warroad High School '97-born forward and former Minnesota Duluth commit Jared Bethune has signed with Prince George of the WHL.

Bethune was one of the front-runners to win Minnesota's Mr. Hockey Award as the state's top senior skater after announcing that he would play before and after the high school season with the Lincoln Stars of the USHL, while returning to Warroad for the high school season. But after a falling out in Lincoln, Bethune returned home to Warroad and decided the WHL would be the best option to advance his career.

Bethune was rated a 'B'-level prospect by NHL Central Scouting for the 2015 NHL Draft, indicating he's a potential 2nd or 3rd round draft choice.
