Albany, NY -- ECAC Hockey announced in a press release today that there will be additional suspensions to the automatic one-game disqualification penalties already handed out at the end of game between Union and RPI on Saturday night.

Union College senior defenseman Mat Bodie who was issued a game disqualification will have an additional game tacked on to his automatic one-game ban. He will miss both of Union's games this weekend at St. Lawrence and Clarkson.

Union's Daniel Ciampini will have to serve a one-game ban for his actions in the altercation. He will be eligible to return for Saturday's game at Clarkson after sitting out Friday's game at St. Lawrence.

Additionally, ECAC Hockey suspended RPI junior and the team's leading goal scorer Ryan Haggerty and senior defenseman Bo Dolan one game each.

RPI sophomore forward Mike Zalewski and junior defenseman Luke Curadi were given game disqualification penalties and will miss Friday's game at Clarkson. Union freshman forward Eli Lichtenwald will have sit out his team's game at St. Lawrence.

ECAC Hockey didn't suspended Union head coach Rick Bennett further for his antics following the final buzzer. The third year head coach was suspended two games by his school for his behavior.

Union, the fourth ranked team in the nation, sits in first place in the ECAC while RPI, predicted to compete for a league championship, has faltered and has work to do in order to climb the standings.
