After a thrilling 5-4 win by Minnesota-Duluth on an Alex Iafallo overtime goal with 26.5 seconds left, it's time to find out who the Bulldogs will play in tomorrow's North Star College Cup championship game.
#1 Minnesota (17-2-3, 7-0-1-0 Big Ten) and #5 St. Cloud State (12-4-4, 7-3-2-0 NCHC), who is 8th in the Pairwise, face off Friday night. It's a battle between two teams which shared the MacNaughton Cup and split a series in St. Cloud last season.
There are no surprises in either lineup. While Gophers senior defenseman Jake Parenteau is getting closer to full health from a broken leg suffered December 6 against Michigan State, he will sit at least one more game. Redshirt freshman Connor Reilly also sits after playing in Minnesota's last 11 games.
