Greetings from the Xcel Energy Center where four teams will duke it out over two days to be crowned the best in Minnesota.
First up is Minnesota State and Minnesota-Duluth at 4 p.m.CT. The Mavericks will be without both Zach Stepan (Nashville Predators draft pick) and Teddy Blueger (Pittsburgh Penguins) after the two were given fighting majors in last Saturday's win over Ferris State.
Minnesota State sophomore defenseman Blake Thompson, a transfer from Minnesota, is in the lineup as a forward.
Minnesota-Duluth has senior goalie Aaron Crandall in net while the Mavericks have freshman Cole Huggins.
