Boston College Recruit Alex Tuch Selected 18th Overall By the Minnesota Wild

Tuch is the third NTDP forward, and third NCAA prospect taken in the Draft.

US NTDP forward Alex Tuch was selected 18th overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild. Tuch was selected just two spots after current and future Boston College teammate Sonny Milano, who was taken 16th by Columbus.

Here is our pre-draft profile on Tuch.

Tuch's CHL rights are held by the Guelph Storm, and the Wild are slightly more aggressive than other franchises in pushing prospects towards the CHL, but with Tuch going to a strong program in Boston College, it's likely that he'll suit up for the Eagles next season.

Tuch was the third NCAA prospect, and third forward off the US NTDP U18 team to be selected in the draft, following Dylan Larkin(15, Detroit) and Milano(16, Columbus)
