NHL Central Scouting released a preliminary "Players to Watch" list today, breaking players down into 'A', 'B' and 'C' categories.
A total of four future NCAA players received an 'A' rating as potential first round draft picks. Those players are: Dylan Larkin(Michigan), Sonny Milano(Notre Dame), and Nick Schmaltz(Green Bay), out of the USHL, and Boston College goalie Thatcher Demko.
Numerous other future NCAA players received a 'B' grade as a potential mid-round draft pick. They included: Matt Berkovitz(Wisconsin), Dylan Malmquist(Notre Dame), Luc Snuggerud(Nebraska-Omaha), Steven Spinner(Nebraska-Omaha), Alex Falconer(Uncommitted), Tyler Nanne(Uncommitted), Alex Rodriguez(Uncommitted), Tyler Sheehy(Uncommitted), Mitch Slattery(Uncommitted), Ryan Donato(Uncommitted), Miles Gendron(UConn), Chase Perry(Uncommitted), Jake Evans(Notre Dame), Jack Ramsey(Minnesota), Tanner McMaster(Boston College), Anders Bjork(Notre Dame), Ryan Collins(Minnesota), Lawton Courtnall(Uncommitted), Jack Dougherty(Uncommitted), Shane Eiserman(New Hampshire), Jack Glover(Minnesota), Ryan Hitchcock(Yale), Josh Jacobs(Michigan State), Jonathan MacLeod(Boston University), Seamus Malone(Wisconsin), Ryan Mantha(North Dakota), Cody Milan(Michigan State), Austin Poganski(North Dakota), Alex Tuch(Boston College), Chris Wilkie(North Dakota)
Even more received the 'C' grade as a potential late round draft pick. It's still early in the year, however, and these rankings will likely change quite a bit as the year progresses.
