Lake Placid, NY -- The United States team was shut out by Sweden, 4-0, at the National Junior Evaluation Camp on Wednesday. The US was playing its first game as one squad after having the roster trimmed from the two, split-squad teams.

Providence sophomore goaltender and Calary Flames draft pick Jon Gillies (South Portland, Maine) allowed three goals on 22 shots. Boston College incoming recruit Thatcher Demko made 16 stops on 17 shots on goal. Gillies was the backup to John Gibson on the Gold Medal-winning 2013 World Junior Championship team.
