Quinnipiac Traveling to Europe

The Bobcats will play games in Italy and Switzerland

Justin K. Aller

The Quinnipiac men's hockey team will depart on August 10th on an 11-day European trek that will feature four games and a tour of numerous historic sites.

The first leg of their journey will be a trip to Milan, Italy, where the Bobcats will tour Lake Como. They will then travel to the cities of Lugano and Zurich in Switzerland, where they will play some Swiss professional teams as well as the Italian U26 team.

NCAA rules allow teams to travel to Europe and play exhibition games once every four years, with incoming freshman not eligible to participate. The games should provide some extra practice for the Bobcats heading into the season, but more importantly, should be a once-in-a-lifetime experience in one of Europe's most beautiful areas.
