Montreal Canadiens first round draft pick Michael McCarron is expected to announce his future plans Wednesday. The 25th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, McCarron is deciding between playing college hockey for Western Michigan or heading to the OHL to play for the London Knights.

Western Michigan coach Andy Murray is a former NHL coach and has produced some terrific talent since his arrival in Kalamazoo including recent Red Wings addition Danny DeKeyser.

However, many experts believe McCarron will end up in London due to that organization's past relationship with the Canadiens. Dale and Mark Hunter have produced a ton of top talent in the past decade with the Knights including current Montreal prospect Jarred Tinordi who the Canadiens also picked in the first round in 2010.

Tinordi, from Burnsville, Minn., had committed to Notre Dame during his time with the US National Development Program in Ann Arbor. However, after being selected in the 2010 draft, he elected to sign with the London Knights instead of heading to South Bend, Ind.
