Western Michigan University defenseman Garrett Haar will miss the first semester of the 2013-14 college hockey season after being declared academically ineligible. The Huntington Beach, Calif. native scored three goals and added six helpers for nine points in 22 games played as a sophomore. He played in 36 games as a freshman tallying just one goal and seven assists.
