USA Hockey has announced the roster for the US Under 18 Select team that will compete in the 2013 Ivan Hlinka Tournament in Breclav, Czech Republic August 5-10.
Seven players on the roster hail from Minnesota, the most of any state. Four players are from the state of Michigan. Auburn, NH native JD Dudek, a Boston College recruit, is the only player from New England on the team. In a bit of a surprise, no players from Massachusetts made the roster.
Former Maine associate head coach Bob Corkum will be the head coach. The former NHL veteran will lead the squad with Minnesota-Duluth assistant Derek Plante serving as his assistant.
