University of Denver hockey recruit Connor Chatham has opted to play major junior instead of honoring his commitment to Jim Montgomery and the Pioneers hockey program. He signed with the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) thus forgoing collegiate eligibility.
Chatham, from Belleville, Ill., played for the Omaha Lancers in the USHL this past season. The six-foot-one forward played for the US National Development Team the year before.
