Privitera brothers, Boston University part ways

Alexx Privitera played his last game in a Terriers uniform in the Beanpot Consolation game while his brother Jarrid, a BU recruit, will never wear the scarlet and white.

According to multiple sources, Boston University has lost two potential players to its lineup for this fall. Defenseman Alexx Privitera and recruit Jarrid Privitera will not be on the team.

The elder Privitera was booted from the team in February, following some questionable on-ice behavior. He finished the school year and many observers expected him to rejoin the team in the fall.

The younger Privitera played for Jim Montgomery in Dubuque (USHL) this season. He was expected to be one of the incoming freshmen for first year head coach David Quinn. He is a left shot center who scored 17 goals and added 15 assists in 67 combined games during the regular season and playoffs.

It is not yet known where the two Privitera brothers will end up. The brothers are both from Old Tappan, NJ so they have east coast roots, but have played junior hockey in the Midwest.
