St. Cloud commit Charlie Lindgren wins USA Hockey's Dave Peterson Junior Goaltender of the Year Award

Charlie Lindgren follows in John Gibson's footsteps as the winner of the USA Hockey Dave Peterson Junior Goaltender of the Year Award.

St. Cloud State recruit Charlie Lindgren has been named USA Hockey's Dave Peterson Junior Goaltender of the Year. The Lakeville, Minn. native just completed his second season in the USHL playing for the Sioux Falls Stampede.

This past year, he went 35-14-2 with a 2.80 goals against average and a .900 save percentage during the regular season. He has committed to play his college hockey for Bob Motzko at St. Cloud.

Dallas Stars prospect Jack Campbell was the 2010 winner and Anaheim Ducks draft pick John Gibson was the 2011 winner of the award.
